Well, you have started up your website thanks to The Rich Jerk, or you are doing your thing with Average Joe’s, but now you want to modify your website. This is a key component in affiliate marketing. It is the same when using myspace to make money, a simple site often means higher income. Why is this? There are a few reasons. One being that complex flashy websites are difficult to navigate, readers don’t like having to work too hard to find the information they want. When it comes to affiliate marketing it is much better to be simple.
Readers hate elngthy descriptions. This is not to say leave out details. You want detail, people love it. But don’t throw in too much personal story and testimonies. People get tired of reading and give up, it is human nature. Include details but just not to a rediculous extent, as many sites do.
Testimonies are almost ignored these days. They are often faked and hold little to no credibility. To affectively make money online it is a good idea to maybe have one or two REAL testimonials, unlike you often see with fake ones. Remember the lessons, be honest. Liars and scammers are always found. So if you are one being caught is unavoidable.
Lack of detail is almost deadly in affiliate marketing. You must have good details to get people interested. But you also must know when it is too much, because this can be just as bad as no detail at times.

Simplicity gets sales… well it’s completely true and I agree with you 100%. It goes for selling anything really. In my own experiences it’s proven too. For example, last summer I was selling products on craigslist and only included a few key points about how good the product was. Nothing over the top, just enough to gain the interest of the people looking for the products. The thing that convinced me though, was that there were tons of similar items for sale but I always had quick sales just because I kept it simple. I never lied or made stuff up, so every transaction was friendly.
Anyways, great blog so far, looking forward to reading more. Maybe I’ll make a blog one of these days. Later.

Simple sells well in some markets and flops in others.
A lot depends on the market and just how much exposure they have had to certain sales tricks and techniques.
Selling a couple cd’s locally through Craigslist is a lot different than selling a product on a website that is supposed to train you for a $100,000 business.

When I look up number one ranked web sites to see their layout and get new ideas it seems simple is always on top. I don’t think people like a lot of flash and large amounts of information that takes a long time to read. they prefere simple.
